The Name
Akula (Ah - Kool - Ah) means shark in Russian/Kazakh. It’s accidentally a play off of my own name and a reference to my own personal motto/mantra that has held me throughout some the most difficult times and challenges in my life for over a decade. It originally comes from a movie, where a character recites a song:
“Раз пятнадцать он тонул, Погибал среди акул, Но ни разу даже глазом не моргнул.”
Translation: “15 times he drowned, perished among the sharks, but not once did he even blink an eye”
(Except it flows and rhymes in Russian)
